Important Security Update:
Two-Factor Authentication Changes
Protecting client information is a core priority at Optimized Insurance Planning. As the technology landscape continues to evolve and cybersecurity threats become more sophisticated, we are implementing additional safeguards to secure access to our website.
Effective January 15, the Optimized Insurance Planning website will no longer support two-factor authentication (2FA) via email or text message (SMS).
All users will be required to transition to an authenticator app–based two-factor authentication process using a smartphone.
Email and SMS-based verification methods are increasingly vulnerable to interception and unauthorized access. Authenticator applications provide a more secure and reliable form of two-factor authentication and are now the prevailing standard across the industry.
To avoid any disruption in access, please complete the following steps before January 15:
- Install a trusted authenticator app on your smartphone (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy).
- Log in to your Optimized Insurance Planning account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enable app-based two-factor authentication.
